Louisiana Is Taking a Stand!

There is a bill going through the Louisiana Legislature (House Bill 226) that makes it illegal for psychotherapists to have sex with their patients.  Great idea, right?!

Believe it or not, there is opposition to this bill!  So we need all the help we can get to get it passed.  At this time it is with a committee called the “Administration of Criminal Justice” committee.  We need you to let them know you support it and want it passed.

You can call, email, fax and mail letters – and should do all if you can!  Just a quick message saying you support House Bill 226 and would like it passed.  You can say why if you like.

If you live in Louisiana, say so.  If this request reaches you and you don’t live there, just say which state you’re from and that you heard about this and it’s great that Louisiana is taking these steps.

UPDATE: Tuesday May 14, 2013 – 10:00am
The Administration of Criminal Justice Subcommittee has involuntarily deferred this bill. That means it was put off, without the agreement of the sponsoring Representative. Please sign up on our mailing list and we will update you on what the next steps are.
